Contrary to songs like Ah vous dirai-je maman or Frère Jacques there is no original song here. I lack informations on the subject and I'm not the only one, because so far, nobody can help me. Though I know The Carnival of Venice but where do the song actually come from, that I don't know. If you have informations, please Email me. And if you know other versions of the song, I'd be glad to add them on this page.
Notice that, the French don't have corners in their hats but bumps, not three, like every other country, but four. The Spanish version speaks about a totally different subject. The Austrian, which doesn't sing the same song than their German neighbours own two very close versions of the song.
